Pancit Sardines



Ingredients

  • 1 can of sardines
  • 1 pack of your favorite pancit canton
  • 3 cloves of garlic minced
  • 1 whole onion sliced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 large boiled egg
  • 1 1/2 cup of water
  • 1 tbsp oil
Instrucions
  1. saute the garlic and onion
  2. put in the sardines, cook for about 20 seconds
  3. add the water and simmer for 3 minutes
  4. add the seasoning of the pancit canton, salt and pepper
  5. put in the pancit canton noodles, cook for about 2 minutes
  6. transfer to a serving bowl then add the egg
  7. serve hot, share and enjoy!

Chicken Tinola



Ingredients


  • 1 whole chicken cut into serving pieces
  • 36 ounces rice washing or water
  • 1/2 piece green papaya or chayote cut into wedges
  • 1 tablespoon garlic minced
  • 1 piece onion chopped
  • 1 thumb ginger cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoon fish sauce
  • cup Hot pepper leaves
  • 3 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions


  • Sauté the garlic, onion, and ginger
  • Put-in the chicken and cook until color turns light brown
  • Add the fish sauce. Stir. Pour rice washing into the cooking pot. Let boil. Cover the pot and simmer for 45 minutes. Note: add water if needed.
  • Add green papaya. Cook for 5 minutes
  • Add the hot pepper leaves or malunggay leaves. Stir and cook for 1 minute.
  • Season with ground black pepper. Note you can also add fish sauce or salt if needed.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl. Serve hot. Share and enjoy!

Adobong Sitaw


Ingredients


  • 1 lb string beans sitaw, cut in 2 inch length
  • 1/4 lb pork belly thinly sliced (optional)
  • 1/4 lb firm tofu
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 1 piece onion thinly sliced lengthwise
  • 4 to 6 cloves garlic crushed
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup water

Instructions


  •  fry the tofu and cut it into cubes
  • Heat a frying pan or wok then sear the pork 
  • When oil and juice comes out of the pork, add garlic and onions then cook for 2 minutes.
  • Pour-in the soy sauce, vinegar, and water then bring to a boil.
  • Shake-in the ground black pepper and stir.
  • Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until the pork is tender.
  • Add the string beans and cook for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • then add the tofu
  • Turn off the heat and transfer to a serving bowl.
  • Serve hot with steamed rice.
  • Share and enjoy!

Nilagang Buto-Buto ng Baboy




Ingredients:
  • 1/2 kg buto-buto ng baboy
  • 1 large onion, peeled and halved
  • 1/2 tbsp whole black peppercorns
  • 3 pieces saging na saba
  • 1/4 kilo pechay
  • 2 medium potatoes
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • salt to taste
  • 1 liter water
  • 1 to 2 pcs sweet corn
  • 1/4 tbsp black pepper powder

Instructions


1. Put water, pork bones, onions, peppercorn and fish sauce in a cooking pot. With medium heat, bring to slow boil.
2. Cook until pork is tender, about one and a half hour to two hours or even longer.
3. Add little water to adjust its amount.
4. If pork is already tender, add saging na saba, sweet corn, and potatoes.
5. Season with salt to taste.
6. Add black pepper powder.
6. Cook for 5 minutes.
7. Add pechay. You may add water for more soup. Boil for another minute.
6. Serve and enjoy.

Ginisang Monggo




Ingredients


  • 1 cup mung beans
  • 6 ounces pork sliced into thin small pieces
  • 1 Knorr pork cube
  • 1 bunch spinach washed
  • 1 cup malunggay leaves
  • 2 medium tomato cubed
  • 1 medium onion cubed
  • 1/2 cup chicharon crumbled
  • 4 cloves garlic chopped into small pieces
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons fish sauce patis
  • 6 cups water
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil

Instructions


  • Heat oil in a cooking pot.
  • Saute garlic, onion, and tomato.
  • Add the pork. Cook until the color of the pork turns light brown.
  • Pour water into the pot. Let boil
  • Add the pork cube. Stir.
  • Add the mung beans. Cover and adjust the heat between low to medium. Continue to cook until the mung beans becomes tender. Add more water, if necessary.
  • Put the malunggay leaves and spinach in the cooking pot. Stir and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add ground black pepper and fish sauce. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl. Top with chicharon.
  • Serve. Share and enjoy!

Beef Broccoli




Ingredients


  • 1 pound sirloin steak sliced thinly (or pre-sliced taco meat)
  • 5 tablespoons soy sauce low sodium
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons shoaxing cooking wine
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder or 2 cloves cloves of minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 1/2 cups broccoli cut into florets
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce

Instructions


  • Combine sugar, garlic powder (or fresh garlic), and corn starch in a bowl. Mix well.
  • Add the minced ginger, soy sauce, and cooking wine. Stir until all the ingredients are well blended.
  • Arrange the sliced sirloin in a bowl. Pour half of the mixture on the bowl with the beef. Mix well. Cover and let it marinate for 1 hour.
  • Heat 1 1/2 tablespoons of oil in a pan. Stir-fry the broccoli for 2 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  • Heat the remaining oil on the same pan. Put-in the marinated beef. Stir fry for 3 minutes.
  • Add the oyster sauce. Stir fry for 1 minute.
  • Pour-in the beef broth and the remaining marinade mixture. Cook while stirring constantly until the liquid evaporates and the texture becomes thick.
  • Add the broccoli. Stir fry for 1 minutes.
  • Serve with steamed rice. Share and enjoy!

Filipino Style Spaghetti





Ingredients


  • 2 lbs. Spaghetti noodles
  • 1 lb. ground pork
  • 4 pieces hotdogs or beef franks
  • 35 ounces Filipino Style Spaghetti Sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1 medium onion minced
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil

Instructions


  • Cook the Spaghetti noodles according to package instructions. Once cooked, transfer to a bowl. Set aside.
  • Heat the oil in a Pan.
  • Saute the onion and garlic.
  • Once the onions becomes soft, add the ground pork. Cook until the color turns light brown.
  • Add the hotdog. Stir and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Pour-in the Spaghetti sauce and beef broth. Stir and let boil. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
  • Try to taste the sauce and add salt and pepper if needed.
  • Pour the Filipino Style Spaghetti sauce over the Spaghetti. Top with shredded cheese.
  • Serve. Share and enjoy!
