Beef Kaldereta

Ingredients :
  • 2 lb. beef, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp. chili flakes
  • 4 cup water
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup liver spread
  • 3 bay leaf
  • 2 cup potatoes, quartered
  • 2 cup carrots, sliced
  • 2/3 cup green olives
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • salt and pepper, to taste


Procedure:

  1. use pressure cooker to soften the beef, once soft set aside.
  2. Saute' minced garlic, onion, followed by the beef.. mix until u smell the aroma of the spices.
  3. add water let it boil. Put carrots and potatos boil until its cooked.
  4. add Caldereta mix.. mix well until no lumps on the sauce.. simmer until sauce thickens the put cooked dry peas and bell peper, simmer for 2 minutes before serving. Good for 4 to 6 servings.
