Chicken Pochero

Puchero is a Spanish inspired dish recreated to fit the Filipino Taste. This dish is Tomato Sauce-based which is rich in lycopene which is really good for the heart. This is one of those Filipino dishes that you shouldn't miss to try. So delicious and very easy to make.




Ingregdients:
  •  2 lbs chicken, cut into serving pieces
  • ½ piece cabbage, quartered
  • 1 bunch Bok choy (pechay)
  • 1 bundle long green beans, cleaned and ends trimmed
  • 1 medium sized potato, cubed
  • 2 large plantain(saba) banana or 1 large plantain banana, sliced
  • 3 pieces chorizo (or Chinese sausage), sliced thinly
  • 1 large tomato, diced
  • 1 medium sized onion, diced
  • 2 tsp whole pepper corn
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup garbanzos (Optional)


How To Make:


  1. Saute minced garlic, chopped onions followed by the chicken.
     
  2. Let it stand for a minute until chicken skin turns to brownish..
  3. then add water, salt amd pepper to taste.
  4. Boil until chicken is tender.
  5. Then add potatos boil until its cook.
  6. The pour the tomato sauce.. simmer until it thickens then add pechay.

    Good for 4 to 6 servings.
