Roasted Chicken


Turbo Chicken Extra Large chicken with lemon grass 
Marinated with Fish sauce (patis) and calamansi juice. Turbo chicken is a modern form chicken roasting.




 Ingredients:


 1 kilo whole chicken.
 12 pieces kalamansi
  1/4 cup soy sauce or fich sause (patis)


 1 teaspoon rock salt for rubbing chicken on the outside
1/4 teaspoon black pepper for rubbing chicken on the outside
1/2 teaspoon rock salt for chicken cavity
1 onion, chopped
 1 tablespoon minced garlic
 5 pieces tanglad (lemongrass leaves)
 olive oil to baste



How To Make It:

  1. Clean chicken well by washing thru a running water.
  2. Set aside chicken.
  3. Prepare the marinade in a bowl - lemon juice extract, minced garlic and fish sauce (patis) set aside
  4. Pound the edge of the lemon grass (tanglad) then tie it that will fit inside the chicken stomach.
  5. Place lemon grass inside the chicken, then put the chicken on the prepared marinade.
  6. Let it stand for at least 30 minutes.. turning each side from time to time.
  7. Prepre turbo and set to 200 degrees temperatire and put the chicken and cook for 30 minutes
  8.  then turn the chicken on the other side for another 20 minutes until the chicken is golden brown.
Good for 3 to 4 servings.
