Seafood Chopsuey



Chopsuey is a Chinese inspired vegetable dish acquired to Filipino taste pallates and has become one of the favorites.



Ingredients
  • ¼ lb shrimp
  • ½ lb boneless chicken
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • ½ piece cabbage, quartered
  • 1 cup green bell pepper,sliced
  • 1 cup red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small cauliflower, broccolli, cut into small pieces
  • 1 ½ cup snow peas
  • 1 cup carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup onion, diced
  • 1 cup chicken liver, sliced
  • Shrimp juice (derived by crushing the head of the shrimp) or use shrimp bouillon
  • 1¼ cup water
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 pcs Eggs (optional)


Instructions 
  1. Saute' crashed garlic ( until goldern brown)
  2.  followed by chopped onions then put cut chicken (boneless chicken) for 2 to 3 minutes until color turns to brown. 
  3. Put the chicken liver, peeled shrimps simmer for 3 minutes. 
  4. Pour in the shrimp juice ( extract from pounded shrimp head and shells) . 
  5. Add 1 cup of water and let it boil for 5 minutes, sprinkle a dash of sea salt and some powedered pepper. 
  6. Then add 2 to 3 tease spoons of oyster sauce ( to taste) simmer for another 2 minutes. 
  7. Add sliced carrots simmer for 1 minute. 
  8. ThenAdd broccolli followed by cauliflower. 
  9. Mix then add the snow peas, cabbage and sliced bell pepper. 
  10. Add the cornstarch mixture 1/4 cup of watter ( to thicken the sauce)Cover and let it simmer for 3 minutes.
READY TO SERVEGood for 4 to 5 servings
